Over 101 countries participate at 5th World Media Summit

President of Xinhua news agency Fu Hua on December 3 opened the 5th World Media Summit calling for strengthening of media collaborations for the betterment of reporting on humanity.
Over 450 delegates from 101 countries have gathered in Guanzhou City of China to attend the summit, held under the theme: Boosting Global Confidence, Promoting Media Development.
Representatives include 197 mainstream media outlets, think tanks, government organs, diplomatic missions to China as well as UN agencies, international organisations who have a common goal of fostering camaraderie, encouraging collaborative efforts and celebrating achievements of media fraternity.
