Mzwinila calls for service improvement

Good customer service remains critical in service provision across all land boards, Minister of Lands and Water Affairs Dr Kefentse Mzwinila has said.
Addressing newly appointed land board members during an induction workshop in Palapye on Friday, Dr Mzwinila said what had always been of concern was how the land boards interacted with customers.
“Land boards and sub-land boards are not performing in terms of customer service and there is a need to ensure that customers are happy,” he said.
He said even though the land boards could not do everything that the customers wanted, customers appreciated feedback even if it was not necessarily what they wanted to hear.Minister Mzwinila also emphasised the need for land boards to adhere to turnaround times in service delivery.“This is important as much as having a clear complaints procedure that is visible to customers and easy to understand,” he said.
In addition, Dr Mzwinila said he expected the land boards to engage more with the public through kgotla meetings to address issues that needed to be resolved.He acknowledged challenges such as shortage of resources, which made it difficult for the land boards to fully execute their mandate. ENDS
