Heavenly Garrison Ministries has been commended for transforming the society through its health, education, counselling and psycho- social support programmes.

The church was appreciated for continuing to mould the characters of different individuals.

Specially Elected Councillor in the Gabane /Mmankgodi constituency, Dr Tebogo Motlhagodi, said at the inauguration and conferment of a doctorate of philosophy in ministry for Prophet Dr Meshack Mangadi in Palapye on Saturday.

The church was also celebrating 17 years of its existence and the birthday of its founder Prophet Dr Mangadi.

He said the church made a good choice by asking God to give them Prophet Mangadi because he is a world class assert who could not be compared to anybody.

Dr Motlhagodi said it was proper to celebrate Prophet Dr Mangadi because he was a great warrior and a friend to many apostolic people.

He said Prophet Dr Mangadi is also a coach and a counsellor to society at large and there are many stories that can be said about him.

He said the work that Prophet Dr Mangadi is doing deserve the doctorate that he has been conferred with because he is good in terms of his leadership and also quick to adopt to situations when the need arises.

Dr Motlhagodi said Prophet Dr Mangadi has gone through many challenges in his ministry and never surrendered, instead pushed harder and persevered, with leadership integrity.

“It is important as a leader that you exchange the programs for the outreach ministries to empower other people,” he said.

He said the 17 year-old Heavenly Garrison Ministries was focused and showed its resilience and commitment by praying for Botswana during COVID -19.  

Dr Motlhagodi was however worried that some prophets were not adhering to the God’s mandate as they formed churches for their personal enrichments while the church was a place of fellowship where Christians could be devoted to one another.

He said Prophet Dr Mangadi never questioned God when he came to Palapye to establish his ministry where he performed the miracles. ENDS
