Botho University graduates have been advised to seek collaborations and remain relevant to the market.
Speaking at the university’s graduation ceremony in Gaborone on October 20, the Vice Chancellor, Dr Sheela Raja Ram, also commended the graduates for perseverance in their study, adding that they should embrace new challenges and opportunities.
“Let me thank you family for the support you have given them because they could not have made it without it and also the government who sponsored the majority of these students,” she said.
For his part, Debswana Diamond Company managing director, Mr Andrew Maatla Motsomi, said the graduation ceremony served as a reminder of the transformative power of education and the importance of investing in the future generations.
He told the graduates to continue making a mark and evolving, spreading the knowledge across the nation.
Outstanding students were recognised for their exceptional academic achievements and contributions to the university community.
This was a testament to the university’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering a culture of excellence.
The university awarded degrees and diplomas to 649 students together with 170 for postgraduate programmes across various disciplines including Engineering and Technology, Business and Accounting, Health and Education, Hospitality and Sustainable Tourism. ENDS
