The Directorate of Public Service Management (DPSM) is embarking on a countrywide tour to drive the transformation agenda.
The DPMS Director Ms Gaone Macholo announced when addressing the media on Thursday that the issues to be addressed included implementation of the collective labour agreements, which were a product of collective labour bargaining.
She further noted that they would use the tour to update public service employees on the implementation of the fan-shaped salary structure, which had been agreed to by the unions and the employer.
Other issues to be addressed during the road show include mindset change and other employee related issues among them update on implementation of court orders for multiple titling for C-band, payment of arrears for minimum pay and implementation of competency based career path for secretaries, Ms Macholo said.
She said the engagements would also touch on the holistic review of the Public Service Act, which seeks to align provisions of the Act with other employment and labour legislations.
She said the review would also help to bring the Act into conformity with International Labour Conventions so as to provide for a sound labour relations framework, orderly and inclusive collective bargaining.
Ms Macholo also said implementation of the digitalisation drive to improve services would be addressed.
She added that government was implementing e-services such as e-pay slips and migration of leave applications to digitalised forms, among others.
She said the first batch of the meetings that would target senior leadership at scale E2 and above would be conducted in Gaborone, Palapye, Francistown, Maun, Tsabong, Shakawe and Lobatse. ENDS
