Jwaneng police investigate murder

Jwaneng police are investigating an incident in which a 30-year-old man of Magwinyetso cattle post died Saturday after he was stabbed with a sharp instrument.
In an interview , station commander, Superintendent Theriso Thatayotlhe explained that they were questioning a 26 year old man in connection with the murder. He said initial investigations had revealed the two men had had an argument over alcohol before the suspect stabbed the victim. The man was rushed to Jwaneng mine hospital where he was certified dead.
Meanwhile the suspect who is also from Magwinyetso cattle post is receiving treatment in the same hospital for serious injuries sustained during the fight. Superintendent Theriso Thatayotlhe expressed concern about the number of murder cases in his jurisdiction and advised people to take alcohol responsibly.
He also cautioned alcohol dealers to adhere to stipulated hours of operation. The deceased is awaiting post moterm at Jwanensg hospital. Police investigations continue. Ends
