Tutume council to unveil logo

Tutume District Council, which became a fully-fledged district following the recent demarcatioin of districts will soon unveil its new logo to the public, chairperson Mr Thatayaone Kehitile told the district’s full council meeting Wednesday. 

“We have endorsed the logo at as September 1. We have also embarked on an exercise to take the logo to the people of the district beginning with Dikgosi and community at large,” he said. Regarding the District Development Plan 9 (DDP 9), the chairman said preparations for the next plan cycle had commenced. 

He thanked communities especially, for their participation in the process despite the tight deadline that they were working on. Resultantly they had managed to capture and submit all the district critical issues and proposed projects, he said. 

Mr Kehitile explained that following the completion of the demarcation exercise, Nkange constituency polling districts had been increased from 14- 15 while polling stations increased to 69 from 60 with Tutume Central being the newly established polling district. He further said there was another change in Nata/Gweta constituency where two new additional polling districts were established and would be known as Manxotae-Sepako and Kutamogoree-Lepashe. 

The additions, meant that they had a total of 49 polling districts in Nata/Gweta, he said. Mr Kehitile informed the meeting and the general public that general voter registration would commence on November 1 and end on the 30th. 

He appealed to people to register. 

The chairman called on all to heed the President’s call for mindset change in order to transform their newly established full district. He said the mindset call inspired them to collectively reset their thinking so that they could jointly contribute to the economic transformation of the country. 

“We commit our district to cultivating and fostering a high-performance culture that will see us delivering timely projects and services in a cost effective manner,” he said. ENDS
