Sepopa awaits psychiatrist report

The psychiatrist assessment results for double murder accused Mogomotsi Sepopa are due in two weeks’ time.
The psychiatric assessment for Sepopa came after Extension Two Chief Magistrate, Kamogelo Mmesi sought to establish whether or not the accused is mentally fit to consider his bail.
State prosecution, Ms Katlego Seema said Sepopa was taken for psychiatric assessment on August 30 and September 6 respectively.
“Yesterday another evaluation was made and we are expecting the report in two weeks,” she said.
Sepopa will be remanded in custody pending psychiatric evaluation reports.
Sepopa, 35, is accused of killing his wife, Bogolo Sepopa and another woman named Same Moapare by shooting them with a gun at Botswana Defense Force Village Camp in Gaborone in July.
The accused is expected to appear for next mention on September 21, 2023. ENDS
