Registration open for Miss Independence Serowe

Registration for Miss Independence Serowe 2023 is open until Friday.

The organiser, Janet Phemelo said the purpose of the pageantry was to encourage young girls to engage in charitable works in their communities.

She said the competition was open to those aged between 17 and 35 years.

She said the pageant was not only for Serowe residents, but everyone as long as they would be available on the day.

Miss Independence Serowe was held for the first time last year and Phemelo said it was a success.

Phemelo said beauty pageants were healthy competitions that allowed contestants to learn from each other, which was more important than the prizes.

The finale will be held on September 29 at Lady Khama Hall. ENDS
