The Transitional National Development Plan (TNDP) will focus on road infrastructure development and incoming generating projects.

Briefing Tutume District Village Development Committee members, councillors, Dikgosi and other stakeholders in Tutume on Monday, Principal Economist Ms Kelapile Mphotho explained that for the district, 14 projects that were funded under the programme were at the financial evaluation stage.

She said preparation for the programme started with consultation with different stakeholders within the three constituencies under the district.

She said three projects of block paving would be undertaken in the Nata/Gweta constituency while the Nkange constituency had five projects and Shashe West would benefit from six projects.

Ms Mphotho said 178 projects had been financed through the Youth Development Fund.

On other developments, she said Tutume mini complex phase 1 of the project which entailed the construction of boundary walls and change rooms had been completed.

The objective of the meeting was to give an update on the progress of projects in the district. ends
