Police patrols in the Masunga area have proven to be efficient.
On August 14, the police nabbed a 34-year-old man with a whole cow carcass, which he failed to account for.
Masunga police station commander Superintendent Tutani Gabothulwe said the suspect was arraigned before Masunga Magistrate Court on August 17 and is currently in police custody.
Superintendent Gabothulwe said the 34-year-old suspect who hails from Mannathoko ward in Masunga sells cooked food.
“Upon questioning, the suspect told the police that he had solely done the act of killing the cow,” he said.
The owner of the cow, who is from Goshwe, has since been identified by the police through the ear tag and the brand of the cow.
