Double murder accused, Mogomotsi Sepopa’s bail ruling has been set for Thursday.

Magistrate Queen Moanga of Extension II Magistrate Court stated that even though the prosecutor, Ms Katlego Seema had agreed to the accused’s request for bail, the court still had a discretion to deliberate on.

The prosecutor did not oppose Sepopa’s bail application under the condition that he pays a fee of P2 000, provides two Batswana sureties of P2 500 each, he does not interfere with state witnesses, shall appear as and when required to do so, reports himself once a week at Central Police Station and surrenders his travelling documents.

“I conferred with the investigation officer on the case and was informed that investigations are at an advanced stage and it is with this knowledge that the accused can be granted bail with conditions,” said Ms Seema.

The 35-year-old Botswana Defence Force captain, is accused of killing his wife, Bogolo Sepopa and another woman named Same Moapare by shooting the two women with a gun at BDF Village Camp in Gaborone.

He will appear again on Thursday, for a ruling on his bail request. Ends
