A 43-year-old Zimbabwean man will on June 28 appear before Selebi Phikwe Magistrate Court for the alleged murder of a fellow male friend.
In an interview, station commander, Superintendent Nicholas Kadiatla said preliminary investigations showed that the two had a misunderstanding which ultimately resulted in murder.
Supt. Kadiatla said the suspect, who was an illegal immigrant and working at a farm near Mmadinare, allegedly threw the body of the deceased into a stream after the incident, adding that the body was found in a decomposed state.
The deceased, he said was buried in Mmadinare after a post-mortem on June 22.
Supt. Kadiatla reminded the community that it was an offence to recruit illegal immigrants, and therefore urged Batswana to desist from recruiting illegal immigrants to serve as farm workers.
In another incident, he said a body of a 21-year-old young woman of Mmadinare who went missing in May had been found.
He said the deceased, Ogomoditse Keipheditse, was reported to have left home on May 26 in the evening to some village night club and never returned.
Supt. Kadiatla said the body was recovered by Letlhakane River near Mmadinare buried in a pit and investigations were ongoing.
