Serowe West constituency by-election set for July 8

President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi has issued a writ of elections for Serowe West constituency rendered vacant by the disqualification of the then MP, Mr Tshekedi Khama following his long absence from Parliament.
A press release from the Independent Electoral Commission says the by-election will be held July 8.
The release says the writ, issued yesterday, was in accordance with Section 34 (1) of the Electoral Act.
It says President Masisi has directed that nominations of candidates for the by-election be received on June 15 between 9am and 1230pm and from 2pm to 5pm at the Lady Khama Community Centre in Serowe. Ends
