TAB releases Pala Monwana

25 Nov 2013

Afro-pop sensation Tebogo TAB Kgaodi recently officially released his sophomore album, entitled Pala monwana under his label JIVE KATARA RECORDS, recorded by Tshepo Lesole of Hi-Note.

The album unlike the straight wedding albums TAB is known for; features different sub genre but still carries great vocals and music composed by him. The album consists of six tracks. Born into a family of musicians from Manyana, Kgaodi started an afro-pop group in 2001 as its executive producer.

The group released three albums; re bulele in 2001, re ja ngwana in 2004 and I do I do in 2007 before taking a break because of his family and business commitments. In 2010 he released a solo debut, monyaka, recorded and packaged in South Africa and featuring the legendary Martin Khupe. Kgaodi says he used to sing hi-hop.
His music took him to Singapore.

“When I came back from Singapore, I changed to afro-pop because I wanted to express myself better in our mother tongue,” he said.

Kgaodi was recently in Mafikeng to perform at Mafikeng Fm’s 5th anniversary. Married with four children Kgaodi is also an active businessman. Among his businesses are a multi services internet café and events management business. ENDS
