Police arrest two for selling fake tickets

Serowe police are investigating an incident in which some people were found in possession of fake tickets at a Beer festival at Serowe Sports Complex on April 8
Senior Superintendent Paul Oketsang, said they received reports from members of the public who discovered some people selling fake tickets from a car on the day of the event.
He said the police arrested a 28-year-old woman of Mochudi and a 30-year-old from Serowe while another suspect made away with the car they were using.
Supt Oketsang said investigations were ongoing and it appeared more people were involved in the illegal trade.
Knowing that the tickets were sold strictly at outlets that were communicated, Supt Oketsang said, those who found them being sold at the venue became suspicious.
He said the arrested duo attended another event in Maun and were suspected to have been selling tickets at that event as well. Supt Oketsang said they found 19 tickets and nine tags in their possession, adding that the police suspected that many might have already been sold.
Still on that day, Supt Oketsang said two men aged 22 and 30 were found in possession of 10g and 1kg of substance suspected to be dagga and a knife. They were charged with possession of an offensive weapon. Ends
