Ramotswa based choir, Andante Chorus will on Saturday, November 23 hold its inaugural music feast in Ramotswa.
The music affair dubbed Andante brings festive choral sounds to the home soil, will be the first to be held by the choir in Ramotswa, a place where it was born about 20 months ago.
According to Andante Chorus chairperson, Lefoko Moagi, the choral feast is to appreciate the support that the choir has been getting from Ramotswa community and around the country.
“The gist of the dinner is to say thank you to our valued well-wishers,” said Moagi in an interview on Wednesday, November 20. He added that they are expecting their audience to comprise of Batswana from different parts of the country because their support base is spread across the country.
Moagi added that initially, they thought of holding the session in various places around the country but they were defeated because that would call for more resources and there will be lot of travelling involved.
“But it was going to strain us because it would need more preparations,” Moagi highlighted. Further, he pointed that the weekend event also offers Balete an opportunity to watch their offspring in concert.
Also, he made an appeal to Ramotswa residents come in large numbers to offer support for the choir. He added that they would be performing pieces of marabi, African, opera and classic. The choral feast will be held at Emmanuel Counselling Centre Hall and the entrance fee is P100 and the event starts at 7 PM. ENDS
