Murder accused remand warrant extended

Jwaneng magistrate, Mr Mpho Setshegetso has extended the remand warrant for murder accused Kagiso Selema (38) and Joseph Mooketsi (39).
The two men are facing a single count of murder, following the alleged killing of 13-year-old Olebogeng Tekanyo on February 19 at Sese. The duo suspected the deceased of stealing their dog.
In her application for remand warrant extension on Thursday, the prosecutor, Inspector Lorato Chabaetsile of Jwaneng police said they needed an additional seven days to conclude investigations, adding that the investigating officer still had to collect exhibits to be used in the case.
Defence Counsel Unoda Mack, representing both accused persons, did not oppose the application. Consequently, the case was adjourned to March 9 for mention. Ends
