Molepolole police are investigating an incident in which a 17-year-old Ratotoboro ward boy was found hanging in a pit latrine on Tuesday evening.

Station commander, Senior Superintendent Benedict Matlho, confirmed the incident in a Wednesday interview, saying the deceased was a former Form Three pupil, who had been living with his mother.

The mother is working in Ramotswa. The deceased reportedly moved to Molepolole after sitting for his Junior Certificate Examinations and was currently living with his grand parents in the village.

Senior Supt Matlho further stated that the incident was reported by the grandfather on Tuesday around eight in the evening, who found him hanging in the pit latrine. The police rushed to the scene and took the victim to Scottish Livingston Hospital, where he was certified dead. Ends
