Sespos O a itiya mos hits shelves

Those who believe disco or pantsula music genre has no place in the country’s entertainment industry may be excused for their lack of knowledge and information.
Fans of this genre are still alive and keeping the spirit burning as some have even taken up the instruments to follow their favorite artists and cement the presence of this music genre here in Botswana.
One such music lover, who even formed a band going by the name Batlhoka Pono has proved to be a diehard follower of isipantsula but, this time around, one of them released a solo disco album which is undoubtedly going to be a hit this Christmas holidays.
Zachariah Malake, who goes by the stage name, Sespo recently released Oa itiya mos which is an eight track album of pure disco music which certainly can make a day for someone who have been yearning to hear a new disco release.
Composed by Sespo himself, who is also on the lead vocalists with Kesego and backed by Timmy Tom, the title track, Oa itiya mos talks about people who say bad things about other people’s religion when they don’t understand it. He said the song therefore aims advising people to always mind their own business.
Track number five, Ke a leboga metswalle is a song which was composed to tender thanks to some men who inspired and motivated him after he lost eye sight as they encouraged him not to ever give up in life as long as he was still alive. The Botswana Telecommunications Corporation’s (BTC) switchboard operator might be blind but, his music has vision and is full of life messages.
This album has everything that should be expected in a disco music album. It was produced and programmed by Thando Zinto and co-produced by Sespo and Buddah-Boss Ntogwa and recorded at Bullet Music Production. Mastering was done at Dargie Digital Studio.
Sespo, who stays in Phase 4 in Gaborone says he started singing and dancing to this music in 1994 and has never looked back ever since. He therefore, appealed to Batswana to support him by buying his music, more especially since he has produced quality work. Other tracks found in this album are Kafitlha ko Lesotho, Oh! Nkosi yame, Sorcerers ft. Buddah-Boss, Bakgopeng betsho, Bo ntsa ba a ja and Dikotsi tsa dikoloi. ENDS
