Police recover stolen vehicle in Zimbabwe

Masunga Police Station Commander, Superintendent Raymond Gabothulwe says a Toyota vehicle belonging to Pula Consultancy road project that was stolen in Masunga has been recovered in Zimbabwe.
Supt Gabothulwe said the vehicle was used by Tshesebe-Masunga road project officers and was reported stolen on Monday this week.
He said the driver of the vehicle was attacked by three unknown men when he went outside his house to refresh around 10 pm at Mulambakwena. He said the men appeared, armed with a pistol ordered the driver to surrender the vehicle keys.
Supt Gabothulwe said the men took the keys, stole household items amounting to P10 000, including two cellular phones, a television, and a microwave. The men also stole cash from the victim.
He said the three man locked the victim inside the house and fled with the vehicle loaded with the stolen household items.
The victim later reported the incident and the vehicle was tracked and located in Zimbabwe.
He said the three men crossed the border at an ungazetted point. Supt Gabothulwe said the police managed to arrest one of the suspects.
He appealed to the community to report suspicious people and vehicles to the police.
Meanwhile, Supt Gabothulwe said they received a report of a death incident at Letsholathebe on Monday. He said they received a report of an unknown person found dead.
He said they found a passport bearing the man’s names and that he was of Zimbabwean origin. He added that their investigations revealed that the 45-year-old man was from Ndanga in Zimbabwe
He appealed to members of the public to avoid harbouring and employing foreigners without work and resident permits. ENDS
