Bosele Hotel hosts culrural dinner
13 Nov 2013
Bosele Cresta Hotel recently hosted a cultural fund raising dinner in Selebi Phikwe.
The aim of the charitable dinner was to raise funds for the less privileged in Selebi Phikwe and the surrounding villages. The dinner featured traditional music, traditional dress code, and traditional food.
Cresta Hotel north regional sales manager, Ms Koketso Phalaagae said the other objective of the event was to bring the Selebi Phikwe community together and enjoy Setswana culture under one roof.
Ms Phalaagae said over the years, the event had shown massive growth since people attended in large numbers. She appealed to small business owners to take advantage of this event to showcase and market their products, adding that this was part of their social responsibility. However, Ms Phalaagae explained that they were working with the social welfare office to help them to locate the less privileged and how they could be assisted.
She said they had so far helped many families and they were in the process of helping one family whose house was gutted by fire recently. The fund raising dinner included music performance by Benson Phuthego, Sebada Cultural Group and traditional fashion show by Bosele Hotel employees.
During the event, the hotel also rewarded the long service employees, those who had worked more than 25 years. For her part, Bosele Cresta Hotel General Manager, Ms Nametsegang Seitshiro applauded Cresta Bosele employees for being a compassionate, just and caring group for having organised the charitable cultural fund raising event whose sales go to the less privileged in the community.
Ms Seitshiro urged other hotels to help the less privileged and thanked companies and individuals who attended the event. ENDS
