Police arrest two men for dagga possession

Dibete police have arrested two men allegedly found in possession of a substance suspected to be dagga at Dibete Barrier Gate on Monday.
In an interview with BOPA, Dibete Station Commander Superintendent Meshack Ranku said the two men are Zimbabwean nationals, aged 29 and 40 years and were heading South.
Supt. Ranku said the police found two refuse bags containing a substance suspected to be dagga and five 50kg bags containing tobacco.
In other incident, Supt. Ranku said they had arrested four women of Mookane for brewing traditional beer without permit.
He stated that the women were arrested following a police search around the village. Beer was also taken from them.
Supt Ranku said the women were aged between 30 years and 75 from Tshipana and Letswere wards.
Meanwhile Supt. Ranku said they had detained a Zimbabwean male aged 38 years for entering the country at an ungazetted point.
The man, he said had since 2019 been staying at Metsimotlhabe and was arrested at Dibete Barrier gate.
Supt.Ranku said police investigations were on going regarding all the incidents. Ends
