Police in Jwaneng are on the hunt for a 16-year-old boy who reportedly stabbed to death his 17-year-old cousin in Sese yesterday. 

In an interview, Jwaneng police station commander, Superintendent Thuso Basuti, said they received the report on the unfortunate incident in the evening.

"We were informed that the suspect walked into the home of the deceased and uttered the words 'ke kopa gore le nkgalemelle mosimanyana yo'  in reference to his cousin, but instead of elaborating on his complaint, the suspect took out a knife and stabbed the cousin in the chest and ran away, leaving the household in shock" he said.

Superintendent Basuti said some eye witnesses reported to the police, who took the victim to the hospital where he was certified dead.

"As we speak, we are still  looking for the suspect and collecting statements from witnesses," he said. ends
