Botswana Telecommunications Corporation (BTC) Limited and BotswanaPost has entered into a partnership to offer BTC Smega services through 220 post offices countrywide.
Launching the partnership, BTC chief commercial officer, Mr Edward Wicks said the strategic partnership would go a long way in enhancing customer experience as their clients countrywide would now be able to access BTC Smega services.
Mr Wicks indicated that with BTC Smega, majority of customers would have financial inclusion and convenience, especially those in remote areas, where there were limited banking facilities.
For his part, BotswanaPost general manager - Business Development, Mr Kagiso Mokgosi said BotswanaPots throve to expand its agency networks to improve the business’s financial standing.
He expressed the company’s commitment to creating more value for their stakeholders, especially those in far flung vulnerable communities, which in turn fed into the company’s goal of enhancing customer experience.
The BTC Smega is a free to register product offering services such as cash deposits and withdrawals, airtime or data bundles and prepaid electricity purchasing as well as opening of motshelo accounts.
The account also comes with a BTC Smega black Visa Card, which is applied for at the cost of P30. With the BTC Smega card, customers will be able to make not only local, but international transactions as well as online shopping. ENDS
