Give to needy - Evangelist Udochuku
12 Sep 2022
Christians have been advised to always give those in need.
Evangelist Daniel Udochuku issued the advice when closing a two-day Botswana Christ crusade with Wiseman Daniel on Saturday night at the National Stadium.
He asked everyone to give an offering for those in need such as orphans, underprivileged or anyone who may be going through a difficult situation in life.
Wiseman Daniel, as he is popularly known, said giving was an instruction from God and assured them of God’s blessings for their gifts.
The evangelist, who pledged US$1000 to the Three Dikgosi Monument upon his arrival last week Wednesday, advised the church to always be willing to help the next person, saying that was what the Lord wanted.
He also said his coming to preach in Botswana did not mean he was better than any pastor or was here to discredit any preacher, but he was rather joining them to help destroy the kingdom of darkness.
“I’m not coming here to do better than Men of God in Botswana. No I am only coming here to join forces with them to destroy the kingdom of darkness. We Christians do nor fight each other, we work in harmony,” he said.
Meanwhile, House of Chronicles International Assembly Church Prophet, Phenyo Janie, who invited and hosted Evangelist Udochuku, said the crusade was intended to address some of the social issues that had left many Batswana wounded.
Prophet Alpha, as he is affectionately called, said Botswana was going through a lot, so it needed ‘the salt of the earth’ to give people hope.
He said challenges currently facing the country included gender based violence, divorce, teenage pregnancy, depression and suicidal spirit.
He said the church therefore needed to offer hope and deliverance. He advised people to always trust in God, saying he hoped the crusade would help many to return to God. ends
