Shashe West MP, Mr Fidelis Molao, has donated a Limousine bull and P20 000 to Sebina United Congregational Church of Southern Africa (UCCSA).

Speaking at a handing over ceremony that followed the church’s heritage walk in Sebina Saturday, Mr Molao applauded UCCSA for its fundraising initiatives.

The funds, he said, were used to run the church and assist the community.

The MP, who is also Minister of Agriculture, requested the church to continue the fund raising initiatives suggesting that it could even use the donated bull for a raffle.

Giving the background of the event, church member, Ms Barulaganyi Mosetlha said the walk was an annual activity held across the country by UCCSA churches. 

She said a decision was made in 2021 to undertake the walk annually.

 Ms Mosetlha said UCCSA had its historical way of doing things and the heritage walk was premised on two of their heritage sites, one in Kumakwane and Thataganyane in Serowe.

She said the church was also focused on refurbishing its schools such as Moeding College in Otse, Maun Senior Secondary School and Lephoi Centre in Francistown, which enrolls people with disabilities. Ends
