Botswana mourns Queen

President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi signing a book of condolences at the British High Commissioner’s residence in Gaborone on Friday. He joined the world in mourning Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, who died on September 8 at the age of 96. President Masisi wrote, ‘this is a message from my family, myself and the people and government of Botswana to express their most profound condolences following the loss of her majesty Queen Elizabeth II.’ He said Botswana remembered the Queen’s visits many years ago and more than anything else, her devotion to the people of Great Britain and Northern Ireland as well as the Commonwealth nations.
