Gaborone woman faces charge of defrauding COVID-19 Fund

Gosego William yesterday appeared before Senior Magistrate Tshepo Thedi of the Village Magistrate Court for fraudulently claiming P11 300 from the COVID-19 Relief Fund.
The accused is said to have between April and June 2020 claimed the said amount from the fund by fraudulently presenting three names of ghost employees, who she claimed were working for her company, Gosego Building Construction.
Plea has been reserved in the matter while the accused has been released on bail by binding herself with the sum of P1 000.
Another bail condition is that she attends court whenever requested to do so.
The case will mention on October 27. ENDS
