A 68-year-old lady who has been missing for two months was found dead on the outskirts of Mokuete ward in Kanye on July 19.

In an interview with BOPA, Sejelo Police Station Commander, Superintendent Mogomotsi Matlapeng said they received a call from someone who reported to have seen something that resembled a human being in the bushes.
He said upon arrival at the scene they found the deceased and took her to the hospital where she was certified dead.

Superintendent Matlapeng said since they had a report of a missing person, they called the family who identified the deceased as the person they had reported missing.
He said the deceased, who was reported missing on May 18 was buried on Wednesday.

He said they had been working with the family and the community at large in an effort to locate her. “Unfortunately she was found dead but the family will have closure,” he said.

According to the Sejelo Police Station Commander, the deceased was last seen going to the hospital for her routine mental condition check-ups.
