Prosecution in the Staywell Hotels murder case is still awaiting forensic test results.
Updating magistrate Jobbie Moilatshimo on the case progress at Broadhurst Magistrate Court in Gaborone on Monday, state prosecutor Inspector Tsogo Rantopa said he would liaise with relevant authorities to speed up the processing of the laboratory results which were causing the delay.
He added that the four accused of killing 30-year-old Gape Monnathoko at Staywell Hotels in Mogoditshane, March this year were released on bail.
The deceased was allegedly stabbed several times by the accused persons after he tried to intervene by helping a friend who was harassed.
Previously when being admitted to bail, Magistrate Moilatshimo ordered that each pay P3 500 cash and avail two sureties who would bind themselves with P3 000 and report to Mogoditshane police fortnightly on Fridays during working hours.
The accused persons Kealeboga Molefi, Phenyo Kasale, Koketso Dipeba and Oteng Sephai, aged between 28 and 35 years were also advised not to interfere with investigations.
