Airport Junction mall opened its doors to in 2012 is an ideal place of investment for retailers.

 The shopping centre which is a home to over 104 retail shops ranging from clothing, electronics, jewellery, banking, home furniture, car services, supermarkets, a hotel, a gym, health facilities and entertainment  celebrated its 10th anniversary over the weekend.

According to Khumo Properties Marketing and Communications Manager, Ms Kagiso Makole said since its launch, Airport Junction has transformed, with the addition of new reputable and mostly citizen owned shops, facilities and attractions which have enhanced the shopping experience in Gaborone.

Ms Makole revealed in an interview that the monthly statistics indicated that on average, the mall was visited by at least 4 000 customers, making the  leader in attracting  finest international retail outlets such as Fabiani, Virgin Active, Rocomamas and Dischem to mention but a few.

Furthermore, Ms Makole stated that the mall continued to improve its shopper experience by expansions and additions of more internationally acclaimed stores with the likes of Factorie and Typo opening in June.

“We have reached this milestone through economic trials and tribulations, but are really looking forward to greater accomplishments, with the support of our customers, tenants and shareholders,” she added. Marking this great milestone, she said, Airport Junction thanked and rewarded its customers with an exciting “Shop&Win” campaign, where customers who spent P100 or more at any shop at the mall stand a chance to win shopping vouchers of up to P10 000, she said, adding that the campaign will run from May 1 to July 31.

Ms Makole said Airport Junction remained the only shopping centre in Botswana to supply its shops with solar electricity as part of efforts promote green technology and environmental sustainability.

Meanwhile, she said the mall will donate 100 solar lamps to 50 Gakgatla Primary School learners. ends
