A 28-year-old Chadibe man, who was recently arrested in connection with the death of his two daughters, died while in police custody on Tuesday.

Central police station commander, Superintendent Lebang Maniki, confirmed the incident saying investigations were underway to determine the cause of the man's death.

"At this point, I have no comment on the circumstances surrounding his death. The matter is very delicate and we are currently awaiting post-mortem to determine exactly how he lost his life,” said Supt Maniki.

The man was arrested at his place of residence in Chadibe on Monday after motionless bodies of his daughters were found in his Honda Fit vehicle.

Tatitown police station commander, Supt Boipuso Baatweng stated that the deceased left with his daughters in the early hours of Monday and returned at noon of the same day.

He said a dispute between the man and the mother of his daughters had allegedly occurred prior to these unfortunate events.

“We were informed that the duo had a disagreement the previous night over allegations that the woman was cheating on him,” he said. BOPA
