Accident claims life of school head

Nata Police are holding in custody a Zambian national truck driver aged 42 in connection with the accident that claimed the life of Sepako Primary School head on Sunday afternoon.
Nata acting station commander, Assistant Superintendent Lesego Ndebele told BOPA on Tuesday that the 47-year-old deceased was driving from Nata to Sepako, his duty station, when he met his fate about eight kilometers from Nata.
He said their preliminary investigations indicated that the deceased’s vehicle was hit by the truck that was coming from Kasane outside the road on his lane side. Assistant Superintendent Ndebele said deceased was rushed to Nata clinic where he was certified dead on arrival.
He added that the truck driver was arrested and was assisting the police with investigations. ENDS
