Montshiwa murder case trial May 9

The murder case of former Fairgrounds Holdings CEO, Mr Michael Montshiwa has been set for trial on May 9-13, at Gaborone’s Broadhurst Magistrate Court.
The case is before Judge Michael Motlhabi.
The accused persons are the duo of David Modise (first accused) and Tumelo Tshukudu. The first accused is represented by Mr Ofentse Khumomotse and Mr Jabu Oteng, while the second accused is represented by Mr Enock Mazonde.
Meanwhile, in the March 5 Stay Well Hotel murder incident in Mogoditshane, the four accused persons; Kealeboga Molefi (34), Phenyo Kasale (28), Koketso Dipeba (35) and Oteng Sephai (30) have been granted bail by Broadhurst chief magistrate, Ms Jobbie Moilatshimo.
The bail conditions are that the accused persons must each bind themselves with the sum of P3 500 and each provide two Botswana citizens sureties binding themselves to the value of P3 000. Judge Moilatshimo also ordered the accused persons to report to the Mogoditshane CID office every other Fridays during working hours.
Accused persons were further ordered not to interfere with police investigations and prosecution witnesses and that they must appear before court whenever ordered to do so.
The accused persons will appear for mention on April 1, at Broadhurst Magistrate Court. ENDS
