Reboeleng gets uncontested bail

The sole surviving Gaborone Main Mall armed robbery suspect, Tsaone Reboeleng has been granted conditional bail by Extension II Magistrate Court on Monday.
Reboeleng survived the February 23, Phase II fatal shooting, that followed a cash-in- transit at Main Mall . Ten other suspects robbers died in exchange of fire with the police.
When outlining the bail conditions, Extension II magistrate Ms Kamogelo Mmesi, said the prosecution had consented to the bail application.
Ms Mmesi said the accused person must bind herself with P5 000 and provide two Batswana sureties who would also bind themselves with the same amount.
She would also be expected to report to Central Police Station on the last Friday of every month as well as not leave the country without informing the investigating officer.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Sub Inspector Modisaotsile Seratswe of Botswana Police Service told the court that the state was not opposing the bail application even though investigations were still on.
The unemployed Reboeleng who faces a single count of armed robbery was represented by Attorney Kgosietsile Ngakayagae.
She was arrested at Phase II, after being found in the company of the suspects, who allegedly robbed Security Systems cash-in-transit vehicle over P986 000.
According to the police, four pistols and AK47 assault rifle and undisclosed amount was recovered during the arrest and shoot-out.
Of the 10 deceased suspects, nine have been identified and handed over to their families except one whose family was still to be identified.
Reboeleng will appear again before court on April 13. Ends
