MoHW recalls Nestle Kit-Kat chocolate

Ministry of Health and Wellness has recalled Nestle Kit Kat Milk Chocolate products due to the presence of brown glass pieces found in its various packaging, sizes, batch numbers and date markings.
A press release from the ministry says the glass was identified during routine inspection and is categorised as a physical hazard.
Therefore, as a precautionary measure, the ministry urges consumers not to consume the affected products, the release says.
Further, the release informs customers who bought any of the affected products manufactured between December 25, 2021 to January 22, 2022 with expiry date of September 30, 2022 to October 31, 2022 to return the affected products to any grocery store or general dealer shop for a full refund and or contact Environmental Health officers in Local authorities for further clarification if needed.
According to the statement , all wholesalers, supermarkets, distributors, retailers and traders have been notified to remove and stop selling the affected products with immediate effect, as they are part of the local distribution.
Meanwhile the release notes that all other Kit Kat products (Dark chocolate and White chocolate) outside the batches and dates indicated, are unaffected and therefore not part of the recall. ENDS
