Police retrieve body of 10-year-old

The body of a 10-year-old boy who drowned in the Nata River on Saturday January 29 was retrieved on Sunday January 30.
Nata Police Station Commander, Superintendent Vincent Pitsietsile said they received a report from a by-passer who saw the body floating in the river.
Superintendent Pitsietsile said they were still to meet with the deceased’s friends who were with him when he drowned and to establish whether they were swimming or fishing.
The corpse has been taken to Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital in Francistown for a postmortem while police investigation are ongoing.
He urged parents to be on the lookout for their children, particularly during the rainy season. Ends
