Ramotswa Police investigate suicide case

Police in Ramotswa are investigating a suspected suicide case in which a 40-year-old man was found hanging from a tree at Goo Nare Ward, Monday morning.
Ramotswa Police station commander, Superintendent Keoagile Tau said the deceased, who originated from Goo Radimpe ward in Ramotswa, left a lengthy suicide note citing personal reasons for his actions.
Supt Tau advised public membersto share their problems with loved ones or seek professional counselling.
Meanwhile, Supt Tau said his office recorded a few cases that included assault, drinking in public spaces and failing to comply with COVID-19 protocols over the Christmas weekend.
He was concerned about lack of adherence to COVID-19 regulations at entertainment spots, particularly wearing of masks, which might escalate COVID-19 cases.
Supt Tau adviced the public to avoid travelling and to observe COVID-19 protocols. Ends
