Trio arraigned for robbery

Three accused persons were on December 7 arraigned before Kanye magistrate, Mr Daniel Nkau to answer for a single count of robbery.
The trio, Mbaki Mokgoane of Tonota, Mogomotsi Moipopi and Pelonolo Seboloko of Gaborone aged between 28 and 34, are said to have acted jointly with another accused not before court to rob Phetogo Sakharea properties at Macheng ward in Ranaka amounting to over P14 000 on November 26, 2021.
The stolen property, which belongs to Manfoor Kably, included P14 098.79 in cash, seven Nivea body creams worth P251.65 and a Nivea roll-on worth P15.50. The accused persons also reportedly used violence on the complainant during the incident.
The accused persons, whose plea was reserved to allow further investigations, are expected back in court on January 18, 2022 for mention. The state is represented by Sub-inspector Mabutho Mabutho of Sejelo police station while the accused persons will conduct their own defence. ENDS
