Thieves rob CA Sales trucks

Two CA Sales trucks awaiting to deliver goods at Fours Cash and Carry in Shakawe were broken into and alcohol and food stuff worth P4 200 stolen.

Acting Officer Commanding for police District 17, Superintendent Goitsemodimo Molapisi confirmed the incident in an interview on Tuesday.

He said that two Batswana men of Saoshoko ward in Shakawe, aged 21 years were arrested on Saturday, after following their tracks to their homes.

Supt Molapisi stated that the culprits cut the trucks’ trampoline walls on Friday night, while the drivers were sleeping in the cabins and stole the goods.

He however noted that all the stolen items were recovered from the perpetrators’ homes.

The two were charged with breaking into a motor vehicle and theft and were arraigned before Shakawe Magistrate on Monday and will appear again on December 15. Still in Shakawe, police are looking for assailants who broke into Kagiso Funeral Parlour and dragged out the company safe on Saturday night.

According to Supt Molapisi, the unknown attackers broke into the funeral parlour and proceeded into the managers’ office, where they dragged out a safe and abandoned it some distance from the office.

He however noted that the thieves failed to open the safe and its contents including cash close to P4 000 were found.

The police also revealed that no one had so far been arrested in connection with the incident. ENDS
