Magistrate reserves plea

The state has asked Magistrate Mompati Taolo of Maun to reserve a plea in the case in which three men are accused of unlawfully dealing in government trophies.
Representing the state, Prosecutor Gomolemo Katholo said investigations were still ongoing and were yet to be concluded. Keleofile Molake, also known as ‘Killer’, Thitetu Dithinde and Onkeme Segosebe were all not remanded in custody.
The particulars of the offence were that Molake and Dithinde between September 18 and 24, exact dates not known to the prosecution, at or near Thito ward in Maun, acting together and in consent to achieve the same purpose, the two unlawfully and without any right whatsoever dealt in government trophies weighing 236.4kg valued at P292 852.32.
As for Segosebe, it was indicated that between September 18 and 24, exact date not known to the prosecution, at or near Thito ward in Maun, unlawfully and without any right whatsoever dealt in government trophies weighing 67.1kg valued at P83 123.48.
Two of the accused are residents of Maun while Dithinde informed the court that he is from Etsha 6. All three are unemployed. This was done during their first appearance in court. They will appear again on November 11 and were all represented by Mr Charles Tlagae. ENDS
