BoB revokes Bureaux de Change licenses

The public is advised not to transact foreign exchange business with any person purporting to trade in the name of Palm Bureau de Change or TRL Bureau de Change as that will be a criminal offence under Section 30(4) of the Bank of Botswana Act.
A press release from Bank of Botswana says this follows a decision by the bank to revoke, with immediate effect, licences issued to Palm Bureau de Change and TRL Moneylink Burea de Change to operate a foreign exchange business.
The decision, as stated in the release, is in line with licensing powers provided for under Section 30(1) of Bank of Botswana Act. Ends
