BIE celebrates 30 years

The Botswana Institution of Engineers (BIE) will next week celebrate 30 years of existence with a lineup of activities.
Addressing the media, BIE president, Ms Linda Moseki said the organisation, which was formed in 1983 will hold an engineering week starting October 15 to showcase their products and also celebrate 30 years.
She said the whole idea of forming the organisation was to promote the advancement of engineering through research and also to facilitate best practice in improving the profession.
Ms Moseki said the other objective was to raise the character and status of the profession of engineers and set standards for ensuring qualification. Ends
