03 May 2021
Letlhakeng police are investigating a case in which a 39-year-old man of Mokwele Ward was found hanging from a tree, a kilometre from the village.
Speaking in an interview on Thursday, Letlhakeng Police Station Commander, Supt Mogomotsi Kesupile said they received a report of the incident on Wednesday and they immediately attended to it.
He said the man’s body was later taken to Scottish Livingstone mortuary while investigations were ongoing to ascertain what could have triggered the suicide.
Supt Kesupile advised the public to seek counselling or help than resorting to taking their own lives when they faced challenges.
Meanwhile, he said they were happy at the rate at which residents were adhering to COVID-19 protocols, including honouring curfew times except for a few and encouraged all to adhere as that was the only way to ultimately win the war against the virus. ENDS
