Moeladilotlhoko crew to appear April 15

 Six Moeladilotlhoko News Boiler crew recently appeared before the Serowe Magistrate Court to face seven counts of criminal trespass.

The accused persons are Tshepho Sethibe, 31, Michelle Teise, 29, Denis Khwinana, 30, Gosego Phohusetso, 24, and Tshireletso Badubi, 28.

The particulars of the offences are that on or around March 7, 2021, at Thabala, the accused persons acting together with common purpose unlawfully printed, offered for sale, sold and distributed t-shirts written: “Bring back Obakeng.” They are also alleged to have uttered the same words through a public address system with intent to bring hatred and to excite disaffection against the Administration of Justice and promote feelings of ill will and hostility between classes of the population of Botswana.

The alleged offences followed the mysterious disappearance of Obakeng Badubi, 37, on January 4, 2021.

The accused persons are alleged to have unlawfully entered various yards in the village with the intention to intimidate and annoy the occupants.

They allegedly entered the yards of Mr Mogotsi Gaefele, Mr Oboeleng Keonnetse, Mr Gototwang Kebaganne, Mr Bankagi Banthobogile, Ms Ditshotego Banthobogile and Mr Kagiso Letswai.

First accused Sethibe, third accused Teise and fifth accused Phohusetso were remanded in custody while their three co-accused were given bail. 

The prosecution asked that the three be denied bail as investigations were still ongoing. They will appear again on April 15. ends
