Basimane releases Morena wa itse

With the high rate of unemployment in the country, some graduates have decided to wait for government to hire them.
But this is not the case when it comes to Kanye born and bred from a family of 12, Edward Basimane, who has released a gospel DVD album consisting of six tracks entitled Morena wa itse and says, “we have been created for a purpose, assignment and our father knows and takes care of us.”
He said he noticed that he had the talent to sing at a tender age, when he was still at a Sunday school at United Congregational Church of Southern Africa (UCCSA) in Kanye. Basimane said he became a later-born again Christian in 1991, which saw him switching churches to Assemblies of God.
The hit song on the DVD is called Ke nna yoo, which so far has received good airing from Botswana Television (Btv) station. The new album follows the release of his three albums. The first one was entitled The Blood, followed by Tshepha Morena and the third one was Morena wa itse.
Basimane obtained a diploma from the Instituted of Health Sciences (IHS), certificate in social work obtained in Bosabosele Training Institute and a Business Management diploma from Gaborone Institute of Professional Studies.
Through the health care auxiliary certificate obtained from IHS, Basimane explained that he worked in Nyangabwe Referral Hospital and later on he worked in Jubilee clinic in the psychiatry department. He also worked as an administration social worker in Crossroads Counseling in Francistown and at the moment he is on a part time job at Premium Health in Gaborone, working as a HIV counselor and testing officer.
To retain his hordes of fans, Basimane has made sure that he maintains his hymns tuning, which he affirms has brought him a great followership of his music. He stated that for any artiste to make it in the music industry, education should not be left behind as it is the key to success and God should be at the forefront of their plans. ENDS
