Police confiscate 174 alcoholic spirits

Police in Letlhakane on Saturday arrested five men aged between 30 and 40 years for illegal possession of alcohol.
Letlhakane Police Station Commander, Supt. Michael Maphephu said 174 bottles of assorted alcoholic spirits were confiscated from the suspects.
He said the suspects used public transport to ferry alcohol from Francistown to Letlhakane, and that they were nabbed by the police upon parcel collection.
He cautioned the public against buying that kind of alcohol, saying it did not bear any stickers indicating where it was brewed and that it was not declared at the border, making it difficult to investigate its origins. ENDS
