Majaga trial starts Monday

A case in which MP for Nata/Gweta, Polson Majaga is alleged to have defiled a minor is scheduled to start on January 25 -28 at Nata magistrate court.
The MP is alleged to have defiled an underage girl of Malelejwe settlement in his constituency sometime between September 2019 and May 2020.
The state is represented by attorney, Ms Kefilwe Jeremiah and during the last mention which was November last year, she explained that the state would call 23 potential witnesses.
She also noted that they had since furnished the defense represented by Mr Mishingo Jeremia with all documents including a forensic report they requested to determine if the accused person is the biological father to the victim's child who was born on July 05 2020. Ends
