Molepolole police are investigating murder and suicide incidents.

A 40-year-old woman was found dead on Wednesday noon, while a 52-year-old man was later in the afternoon found hanging from a tree at Phuthadikobo ward. Station commander, Superintendent Motlhaba Ramabya, said the police were alerted by neighbors.

He said the woman was certified dead at Scottish Memorial Hospital. 

Supt Ramabya said the alleged murder and suicide incident was the first serious offence in his policing area since the beginning of the festive season.

Meanwhile, Supt Ramabya has applauded majority of the people in Molepolole and surrounding villages for complying with the curfew.

However, Mr Ramabya said some scores of people were not compliant with the no movement regulation. In a day, he said almost 40 people were arrested and charged for non-compliant with curfew and other COVID-19 regulations. Ends
